I am really sorry I couldn't post this yesterday!
The experiment you have to do is the following:
What color is sea water?
If yoy compared the color of a glass of tap water with a glass of sea water, you probably could not tell the difference. But, if you go to the beach, the ocean may look blue, gray, or dark green.
Materials:
1) One liter glass container or water glass filled with salt water.
2) Various shades of blue, black, and gray construction paper cut into 13 cm squares.
Directions
1) Think of the times you have been to the beach. What color was the water?
2) Pour the salt water into the glass. Look at its color. It represents water you take from the ocean. Why do we think ocean comes in various shades then?
3) Cover the top of the glass with dark blue construction paper. What happens now?
4) Cover the glass now with the other colors. What happens? How does this explain the colors of the ocean?
That is what you have to do! Here is the way you have to present it. You can either print this paper and paste it in your notebook or copy it there.
