Diorama progress

Hello everybody!!

We've been working on our dioramas this week and I must tell you I am super excited by the way they are turning out. You guys are putting a great effort on it and it is showing!!

Here are some pictures of the progress so your parents at home can see the great things you can do yourselves!

Of course there's a lot that are not featured here, but that doesn't mean they are not turning out great!! I am proud of each student's work (Grammar lesson here hehe), as I know you guys are as excited as I am with this!!

Remember to bring any kind of paper you wish to wrap your box so it won't show the brand of the shoebox. Contact or gift wrapping paper would do just fine. We are also going to write the name of the book and author on it.

Remember that when you finish your dioramas, I might ask you questions about your book and the scene you are representing- so keep with your reading if you haven't. I suggest you to do a summary of it if you already finished reading it so you won't forget any important details.

Again, I am super excited to see each of your dioramas done!!

See you tomorrow,
Teacher Ori ❤️

Thanksgiving

Hello there!!

So, as you know, Thanksgiving is right around the corner! Is the time of the year when we take a second to realize what we are thankful for and how lucky we are with the things we have (although we should know that all year long).

Gobble up, my little turkeys, because celebrations started! You have an assigment due Monday, to write 15 lines composition about Thanksgiving and add a drawing. Remember to write it by hand and to add a drawing of your own- don't print it, I love your handmade drawings!!!

Here are some links with useful websites about this holiday:

I also wanted to share with you and your parents our first Thanksgiving activity: thankful tree. Each of you wrote on a leaf made by yourselves what you are thankful for, and it is now featured in the main elementary's bulletin board- yay!

Once again I tell you, I am thankful for being your teacher.

Love,
Ori.

Science quiz

Hello there!!

Seeming as there have been a little missundestanding about your Science quiz (even though you copied it in your diaries and it was posted in the school's web page last week), it will be on Wednesday instead of Tuesday. This is because most of you left your notebooks at the classroom this Friday, although I remind you to take them, and it is YOUR responsability as 4th graders to check what you have to do during the weekend and to take what you need for that.

Either way, as we discussed on Tuesday and some of you clarified on Friday, your quiz will be about every class we've seen BUT the water cycle. That is because all of them are related. You DO NOT need to memorize all the classes word by word. If you want to be successful in this quiz, you will need to UNDERSTAND the subject, not memorizing it and that's it. Of course, you need to know the basic concepts, but I will not ask you to recite the whole class as a poem. So don't stress over that.

It is important that you remind your parents that what you copy in your diaries is posted in the web page as well, so you can use this as a tool if you were absent on a given day or if by any reason you couldn't copy your diaries.

Finally, check some of the previous posts to see some resources I posted about habitats and the food web.

You can ask me tomorrow if you have any further questions.

See you later alligators (Which are carnivores AND predators by the way)!
